Public Works brings together the everyday maintenance that keeps streets and public spaces usable, welcoming, and ready for changing seasons. The Street Department carries out road maintenance and a wide range of work throughout the City.

Streets and public spaces

• Patching and paving City streets and maintaining road berms.
• Maintaining street signs, ditches, and culverts.
• Sweeping streets and sidewalks and caring for public areas.
• Supporting City-sponsored events and community projects.

Seasonal maintenance

Crews handle snow removal, mowing, leaf collection, storm debris, Christmas tree pickup, and spring cleanup. Weather and conditions can affect when work takes place. Contact the City for current information before placing materials out for collection.
