Grandview State Park

Grandview State Park , in Raleigh County, northeast of Beckley, West Virginia, was acquired by the National Park Service in 1990 and absorbed into the New River Gorge National River. Grandview was a favorite picnic spot for local farmers until the 1950s when it became a state park. Today, thousands of visitors tour its trails and overlooks every year and, in summer, attend the outdoor dramas "Hatfields & McCoys " and "Honey in the Rock ," in repertoire at the park's Cliffside Amphitheatre since 1967.
