Chamber of Commerce
 The purpose of the Summersville Chamber of Commerce is for the advancement of civic, commercial, industrial and agricultural interests of the City of Summersville and surrounding territory.  The Chamber has worked on issues of community interest and provided business leadership for the improvement of economic development, education and healthcare. 
Nicholas County Red Cross Chapter

    We all know the American Red Cross responds in times of disaster and helps patients in need through blood services. But did you know that we also provide transportation to help seniors live more independently, teach teenagers babysitting skills and relay emergency messages between military members and their loved ones? The Nicholas/Fayette Red Cross Chapter does this and much more every day. Learn more about us and get involved today.

Rotary Club

     Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.  Summersville's Rotary Club Chapter was organized in 2004 and has continued to serve the surrounding communities ever since.  The Club welcomes and encourages any resident of of Nicholas County interested in joining the Rotary Club to attend the weekly scheduled meeting on Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m., hosted by Shoney’s in Summersville.


Salvation Army

   The Salvation Army is an evangelical Christian organization that devotes billions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours each year to disaster relief, social services and other charitable causes worldwide. With proceeds going to those in need, both in Nicholas and Webster counties, the Army's many thrift stores play an important role in furthering the organization's mission. Patrons of the stores pick through a diverse selection of moderately worn clothing, as well as second-hand furniture, electronics, books and toys at bargain prices.

Seneca Health Services
       Seneca Health Services, Inc. (Seneca) provides community-based behavioral health services to adults and children/adolescents with a mental illness, a developmental disability or a substance abuse problem. Seneca strives to improve the quality of life of the target population(s) in Nicholas , Pocahontas , Greenbrier , Webster, and Clay counties of West Virginia. Seneca is dedicated to providing accessible, available, acceptable and affordable services to its constituents.

Senior Center

        The Nicholas County Senior Citizens Center is a beautifuly designed buiding right in the heart of Summersville that provides a place for the local seniors to socialize with their friends as they enjoy the many activities provided.  Special guests are often invited to speak about senior related issues, meals are served regularly, and many events are hosted throught the year.  In addition many excursions are organized to places near and far.


Our facilities are for rent with very competitive prices; call and compare. Our front room is $150 for the whole day and $75 for half-day. Contact the offi ce, 304- 872-8147, for details if you are planning birthday parties, baby or bridal showers, graduation parties, reunions, seminars, lectures, etc. We have two rooms available with separate entrances and audio/visual equipment.  Catering is available when you rent the center.
